Travel Festival ''Up the Mountain'' in Laziska Gorne

During days 11-12 of October 2013 there was held the Travel Festival "Up the Mountain" in Laziska Gorne, located in the Upper Silesia region of south Poland. The third edition of this Festival was visited by about 200-300 people, mostly fans of climbing, trekking and traveling. As for the merits and organizational part, the Festival had been splendidly prepared and then professionally led by Michal Slowioczek and his friends. For the general public there were numerous and interesting slideshows and competitions with rewards. During the first day of the Festival there was the competition for the best expedition, devoted to six finalists chosen among 15 submitted expeditions, including me with the slideshow "The Kenai Peninsula – Alaska in miniature". My three-month traveling across Alaska has been appreciated by jury because I have come third in the competition. I will always remember this festival with pleasure, not only because of personal success but most of all because of many interesting people which I have met here and incredible climate accompanying this event for the whole time.
