Municipal Culture Center in Radlin
The slideshow entitled "The Kenai Peninsula – Alaska in miniature" was held on November 7th, 2013 in abode of the Municipal Culture Center in Radlin. There came over 50 pupils and teachers from the nearby junior high school, who had been invited by the Center’s employee Mrs. Marieta Kuczera-Rok to untypical live lesson of geography and nature. Young people were watching the slides and were listening to my stories about Alaska with caution during over two lessons. However, the most annoying thing was that they were asking a lot of questions. Questions were mainly related to practical information about traveling across Alaska, i.e. costs of expedition, necessary equipment, life conditions in Alaska and rules of volunteering in American national wildlife refuges. Once again it has been proved, that there is a great potential lurking in young people so who knows if for a couple of years some of them will start their own journey to some remote recess of the Earth (photo 1-6). On May 14th, 2015 in Radlin took place another slideshow entitled "The Biebrza River Valley. The last wild wetlands of Europe". This time guests of the lecture were pupils and teachers from nearby primary schools. After the slideshow, the biggest interest among young people has been generated by my birdwatching tent, which caused even a small queue (photo 7-12). On April 8th, 2016 took place another meeting with children and youth, to whom I have presented the slideshow and the movie entitled "The Bieszczady Mountains. A land of mountain meadows and the Carpathian beech forest" (photo 13-18).
