Municipal Culture Center in Slomniki
The slideshow entitled "Kenai National Wildlife Refuge – Alaska in miniature" was held on April 5th, 2013 in a spacious spectacle hall of the Culture Center in Slomniki, within project "Culture 50+", which aim is to promote an active lifestyle among people after fifty years of age. Over 40 persons came to the meeting, mostly seniors being regular members of the Center, interested in stories about traveling across remote and wild recess of the world, such as Alaska. Guests were welcomed with warm words and a smile by Mrs. Alicja Biczysko – manager of the Center. After the lecture many questions appeared from the invited guests' side and although behind the windows winter spell of foul weather was linking to the subject of slideshow, almost two-hour meeting passed in very pleasant atmosphere, being fanned by colorful photographs from Alaska. On December 6th, 2013 in Slomniki took place another slideshow about my expedition to Alaska, this time entitled "Valley of the Yukon River – In the Interior of Alaska". Like previously the atmosphere of meeting was very pleasant, although because of hurricane Xavier the attendance was low (photo 7-11). On October 10th, 2014 in Slomniki took place another slideshow, this time about one of my nature travels around Poland, entitled "The Biebrza River Valley. The last wild wetlands of Europe". After the lecture, thanks to efforts of the Center’s manager Mrs. Alicja Biczysko, guests had unique opportunity to taste a few original dishes and snacks brought directly from the Podlasie region of Poland (photo 12-17). On June 19th, 2015 took place slideshow entitled "Thassos. Emerald island of sunny Greece" (photo 18-24).
