Municipal Museum ''Sztygarka'' in Dabrowa Gornicza
The slideshow entitled "Kenai National Wildlife Refuge – Alaska in miniature" was held on April 23rd, 2013 in a large building of the Municipal Museum "Sztygarka" in Dabrowa Gornicza. The lecture took place within a series of meetings with travelers, entitled "Expeditions to the confines of the earth", which have been organized and hosted by Mr. Grzegorz Kuspiel – a globetrotter, hothead, lover of ethnography and custodian in one person. There came about 70 people to the slideshow, including mostly regular frequenters of the "Sztygarka" used to authentic journey stories, photographs and pieces of gossip from different and sometimes very remote recesses of the world. Age range of gathered persons was huge because there came young folks, students, adults, seniors and even children with their parents. After the slideshow, in spite of late hour, guests found time to admire very interesting and splendidly thrown open to the public collections of ethnographic-travel section of the Museum, which were described by its custodian (photo 1-6). On May 26th, 2015 in Dabrowa Gornicza took place another slideshow, this time about one of my nature travels around Poland, entitled "The Biebrza River Valley. The last wild wetlands of Europe" (photo 7-12).
