Complex of Schools in Wilkolaz
The slideshow entitled "The Kenai Peninsula – Alaska in miniature" was held on March 17th, 2014 in the Complex of Schools located in Wilkolaz. In the gym there gathered almost 100 pupils and teachers from the nearby junior high school, who had been invited to an offbeat live lesson of geography and nature by Mr. Tomasz Kusnierz from the local Culture Center. They were watching the slides and listening to my stories about Alaska with caution during two lessons. It turned up again that young people really want to get experience and new knowledge, provided it is both authentic and delivered in a way which arouses their interest. Ringing applause at the end of the second lesson was a living proof that nothing can replace a personal contact with another human, in this case with a traveler.
