University of the Third Age in Pionki
The slideshow entitled "The Kenai Peninsula – Alaska in miniature" was held on March 26th, 2014 inside the building of the Municipal Culture Center in Pionki, in a small-audience and unusually decorated lecture room. There came 20 persons to the meeting, including mostly seniors being regular members of local University of the Third Age. The atmosphere of far journeys was additionally made pleasant by aroma of original, brewed tea. After the lecture it occurred that the audience was surprised by beauty and diversity of Alaskan wildlife because most people had expected wilderness covered with snow and ice. It seems that again I have been able to break stereotypes about this wonderful recess of the world.
